Lithography system manufacturing and R&D headquarters
Veldhoven is ASML’s global headquarters and its biggest R&D and manufacturing site, housing the Board of Management, global corporate functions and the European ASML Global Support Center. ASML opened buildings here in 2009 to hold 10,000 m2 of cleanrooms and workspaces for EUV development and production, and it manufactures its latest-generation lithography systems in the EUV cleanroom in Veldhoven. The site also holds the High NA EUV Lithography Lab run jointly with imec, which gives chipmakers and suppliers access to the first prototype High NA EUV scanner, the TWINSCAN EXE:5000.
