## What it measures

The hyperscaler reading of the Silicon Data H100 Rental Price Index: the same modelled, standardized daily figure, for capacity rented from the large clouds rather than the neo-clouds. Silicon Data publish the two readings side by side so the segments can be compared directly; no listed contract references this one.

It sits between GPUQuant’s hyperscaler list price above it and the neo-cloud reading below it, because it counts the negotiated and committed-use deals a list price does not.

## How it is built

By Silicon Data, from transaction data GPUQuant cannot see. They standardize each observation for machine specification, rental term, platform performance and geography, remove statistical outliers, and validate the figure independently each day. None of that is reproducible from outside, which is the difference between this number and a GPUQuant reference: a GPUQuant figure is a reading of a published price with a URL behind it, and this is a standardized estimate.

A modelled figure, not a price any single provider published. Silicon Data standardise for machine spec, rental term, platform performance and geography, remove statistical outliers, and validate each day independently. None of that is reproducible from outside.
